Westlake Chaparrals and Cedar Ridge Eagles meet at Chaparral Stadium in a clash that defines the current top tier of Central Texas high school football. Both teams enter the game with perfect records, making this the decisive matchup of District 25-6A. The contest serves as a second consecutive major test for Westlake, which defeated Lake Travis last week.

The stakes extend beyond the 6A division. Wimberley Texans, who are 7-0 overall and 3-0 in the district, host Manor New Tech in District 14-4A DII. Simultaneously, Thorndale Bulldogs (8-0, 4-0) face Rosebud-Lott (9-0, 5-0) in District 13-2A DI. The Thorndale and Rosebud-Lott game carries the weight of a district championship, while Wimberley seeks to maintain its unbeaten status against a 5-3 opponent.

Lake Travis Cavaliers (3-3-1) travel to Round Rock (6-2) in another high-profile District 25-6A contest. The Cavaliers have not finished a season under .500 since September 2022. That 2022 season marked the last time Lake Travis lost two consecutive games, occurring against Arlington Martin and Cibolo Steele before they finished 7-5. Round Rock has dropped only two matches this year, losing to Weiss and Westlake.

Other results from the night include a 55-7 victory for Bowie over Akins in District 26-6A. In District 12-5A DI, Killeen Shoemaker defeated Connally 38-14, and Anderson beat Cedar Creek 63-0. LBJ defeated Northeast 78-19 in District 13-4A DI. These scores contribute to the final push toward the UIL state playoffs, which begin in two weeks.

Teams at the bottom of the standings also have games on the schedule. McNeil (0-9) plays rival Westwood (1-7) in their final chance at a win. San Marcos (0-8) hosts San Antonio Wagner (1-6). Eastside (0-8) travels to Austin Achieve (1-7). Cedar Park (9-0), the only other unbeaten team in the region, faces 2-6 Vista Ridge.

Reporters Colby Gordon, Jay Plotkin, and Shaun Chornobroff are on the ground to provide live updates from the Westlake, Lake Travis, and Wimberley games, respectively. The district standings will determine which teams advance to the state tournament and which are eliminated before the postseason begins.
