The Washington Commanders defeated the Philadelphia Eagles 27-10 on Sunday night in Landover, Maryland. The victory marked Washington's first win in more than a month and snapped a six-game losing streak for Philadelphia.

Washington trailed 10-0 after a penalty-riddled first quarter. The Commanders then scored 27 consecutive points to secure the lead. The final margin reflects the Eagles' inability to sustain drives after the opening frame.

Jayden Daniels played through a hard hit that slowed him to his feet in the first half. He threw for 217 yards and one touchdown. This was his first win as a starter since the Commanders beat the Los Angeles Chargers on Oct. 5, 2025. Daniels credited the team's resilience in overcoming early struggles.

"It's a blessing from God just to go out there, and everything I've been through in my career so far," Daniels said. "From different injuries and a lot of different setbacks."

The Commanders defense limited Philadelphia to 268 total yards. The Eagles managed only 199 yards before their final drive. Washington sacked substitute quarterback Tanner McKee five times. They also intercepted one of his passes. McKee, in his third start of the season, threw for 212 yards without a touchdown.

Trey Amos, a Commanders cornerback, noted that the defense made adjustments after a slow start. "We just made adjustments," Amos said. "We started a little bit slow, those things will happen sometimes, but after those adjustments, everybody came together to try and figure out a plan. It worked out, later down the line, series, quarters."

Philadelphia's Saquon Barkley rushed for a 3-yard touchdown in the first quarter. He finished the game with 30 yards on 13 carries. The Eagles' total rushing output was 91 yards. Coach Nick Sirianni acknowledged the difficulty of the current run. "I know nobody feels sorry for us, that's for damn sure," Sirianni said. "Everyone is going to give us their best shot. I know nobody feels sorry for us and we have to do everything we can do to fix it so we don't have this feeling for the last six games. Obviously, it sucks."

Drew Stevens kicked four field goals for Washington. His longest attempt was a 56-yarder in the first quarter. Jake Elliott, the Eagles' kicker, missed a 41-yard field goal after an illegal formation penalty forced a reattempt. The Eagles' longest drive before the final quarter was 52 yards.

Washington sits two games behind the New York Giants in the NFC East. Philadelphia is in last place in the division. The Eagles host the Giants on Sunday. The Commanders host the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday.
