Dallas needed 38 points to stabilize its standing in the NFC East, and the Cowboys delivered that total in a Monday night victory over the Philadelphia Eagles. The 38-21 result on the road in Philadelphia ended a two-game losing streak that had dropped the team to 2-4 on the season.

The offensive production marked a sharp turnaround from the previous two weeks, during which the Cowboys combined for just 29 points. Quarterback Dak Prescott threw three touchdown passes in this contest, his sixth career game with at least three scores against this opponent. Two of the touchdowns went to wide receiver CeeDee Lamb, while George Pickens caught the third.

The ground game provided the bulk of the yardage. Running back Javonte Williams carried the ball 25 times for a career-high 155 yards. He sealed the game with a two-yard rushing touchdown with 2:21 remaining on the clock. This performance gave the Cowboys more than 200 yards rushing and 200 yards passing in a game against the Eagles for the first time since 1983.

Head coach Brian Schottenheimer, who has faced external criticism for his playcalling, remained quiet after the win. He told reporters he was "great" and "excited for our guys," but noted that the team simply "played good." He did not attribute the performance to desperation, despite the recent struggles.

Prescott acknowledged the pressure on the coach. He described seeing a "definitely hungry, pissed-off version of Schotty" during the week. The quarterback stated that the team has the coach's back because he takes great pride in his job. Prescott emphasized that the focus now shifts to execution in future games.

The defense allowed the Eagles to score on their opening drives of the first and second halves. However, linebacker DeMarvion Overshown recorded an interception of Tanner McKee. Defenders Quinnen Williams and Donovan Ezeiruaku combined for two sacks of McKee. Williams said the team did not play a perfect game but celebrated the win.

The victory keeps Dallas in contention with the New York Giants, who hold a 4-2-1 record. ESPN Analytics currently gives the Cowboys a 57% chance of winning the division. The team has not won consecutive games since a three-game streak in Weeks 11 through 13 last season.

The Cowboys travel home to AT&T Stadium next week to face the 2-5 Arizona Cardinals. Schottenheimer said the win puts the team "right back into the hunt" in the conference.
