Jay-Z will take the stage for the Super Bowl LXI Halftime Show on February 14, 2027. The NFL, Apple Music, and the artist announced the decision on Monday for the game scheduled at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.
His management company, Roc Nation, has produced the halftime segment since 2019. The firm recently signed a five-year extension that keeps them in the production role through 2029. Since taking over, the shows have featured more hip-hop and rap acts. Last year’s performance at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara starred Bad Bunny, with guest spots for Lady Gaga and Ricky Martin.
Los Angeles previously hosted a major halftime show in 2022. That event featured Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige, and Kendrick Lamar. The performance also included cameos by 50 Cent and Anderson .Paak. Other recent headliners include Kendrick Lamar and SZA in 2025, Usher in 2024, and Rihanna in 2023.
Despite his ties to the league and past performers, Jay-Z has never played the Super Bowl halftime set. The 25-time Grammy winner is currently on tour to mark the 30th anniversary of his debut album, Reasonable Doubt, and the 25th anniversary of The Blueprint.
The Jay-Z 30 Tour began with three nights at Yankee Stadium in July. It moved to two shows in London and one in Paris in September. The tour concludes with performances on October 23 and 24 at SoFi Stadium. These final dates occur at the same venue that will host his upcoming Super Bowl performance.
