More than 2,000 poll workers have completed mandatory training to staff Hillsborough County’s 232 polling locations ahead of Tuesday’s midterm election. Election officials are currently distributing supplies to these sites to ensure they are fully operational for voting day.

Craig Latimer, the Hillsborough County Supervisor of Elections, confirmed that clerks are picking up the materials needed to run each location. He noted that the county has a fixed network of 232 sites where voters can cast their ballots in person.

Voters in Hillsborough County must vote at their designated precinct location on Election Day rather than choosing any available site. Latimer emphasized the importance of planning ahead, particularly because the ballot includes six constitutional amendments. He warned that unprepared voters could spend roughly 30 minutes in the privacy booth reading the text.

The supervisor distributed sample ballots to residents to help them review the amendments in advance. "I would urge you to go ahead and look at that sample ballot," Latimer said. He added that voters should bring a valid form of identification when they arrive at the polls.

Early voting remains open through Sunday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. After that window closes, voters must wait until Tuesday to cast their ballots in person. The polls will remain open for the standard duration on Election Day.
