Nicole Gwen Savage posted a $250,000 cash or surety bond following her arrest for aggravated stalking. The Wayne County woman was taken into custody on Tuesday, Oct. 27, after security personnel at the Clinton Township home of rapper Eminem, known legally as Marshall Mathers, called police.
Officers arrived at the property to find Savage outside the residence. They arrested her for violating a prior court order that barred any contact with Mathers. The Wayne County prosecutor’s office has not released details about the specific incidents that led to the original injunction.
Savage appeared at the 41B District Court in Clinton Township on Wednesday. Prosecutors filed one count of aggravated stalking, the highest criminal charge permitted under the law given the available evidence. The offense carries a maximum prison sentence of five years.
Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido addressed the public on Thursday. He stated that everyone deserves safety in their homes and that no one is exempt from these protections because of their public profile or celebrity status.
The magistrate set additional conditions for Savage’s release. She must wear a GPS tether and cannot possess weapons or leave Michigan while the case is active. A new no-contact order remains in effect between the two parties.
Savage is scheduled to return to court on Monday, Nov. 9, at 8:30 a.m. for a probable cause conference.
