United Parcel Service increased its projected full-year revenue to approximately $92.6 billion on Tuesday. The company had previously forecast $91.2 billion in annual income. UPS also projected fourth-quarter revenue of $25.7 billion.

The carrier reported adjusted earnings per share of $1.69 for the third quarter. That figure surpassed the $1.63 average estimate from analysts surveyed by LSEG. Total revenue for the quarter reached $22.9 billion, outpacing the expected $22.29 billion.

Net income for the period ended September 30 stood at $1.16 billion, or $1.37 per share. This represents a slight decline from the prior year, when net income was $1.31 billion, or $1.55 per share. The adjusted figure excludes one-time expenses.

Revenue growth varied across business units. Domestic revenue rose 4.5%, while international revenue climbed 7.1%. The supply chain solutions segment posted the strongest performance, with an 18.2% revenue increase. UPS attributed this jump to growth in forwarding and logistics, particularly in the healthcare sector.

The results marked a deviation from earlier predictions. The company had previously anticipated flat domestic revenue and a drop in average daily volume due to seasonal factors and its reduced partnership with Amazon. Shares of UPS traded slightly higher in premarket sessions following the announcement.

CEO Carol Tomé stated that the company is entering the holiday shipping season from a position of strength. She described the network as the most automated and efficient in the company's history. Tomé has led a turnaround effort focused on a leaner business model and increased automation.
