Cleveland sits as the 5.5-point favorite against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Monday night at Rocket Arena, setting the stage for a high-scoring contest. The game serves as a test for Minnesota, which is seeking to maintain its perfect 3-0 start, while Cleveland looks to improve its 1-1 record.

The Cavaliers defeated Brooklyn 125-121 on Saturday, while the Timberwolves beat Toronto 117-94 on Sunday. Minnesota is 2-0 on the road this season, having finished third in the Northwest Division with a 49-33 record last year. Cleveland, which placed second in the Central Division at 52-30 previously, has won its only home game in the current 2026-27 season.

Anthony Edwards, who is dealing with knee injury management, is listed as questionable for the matchup. Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET, with the over/under set at 231.5 points.

The SportsLine Projection Model, which simulates every NBA game 10,000 times, has returned nearly $19,000 in profit for $100 players on top-rated picks since 2018. The system is currently on a 26-10 run on top-rated spread picks dating back to the previous season.

After running 10,000 simulations of the Cleveland and Minnesota contest, the model projects a combined total of 236 points. This projection favors the over, a side that has hit in each of the last four head-to-head meetings between the teams. The over has also hit in five of Minnesota’s last eight games and seven of Cleveland’s last ten.

Anthony Edwards leads the Timberwolves in scoring, averaging 28.7 points, 5.0 rebounds, 3.3 assists, and 2.0 steals in 31.3 minutes per game. Six Minnesota players average at least 12 points. Donovan Mitchell anchors the Cavaliers, averaging 27.0 points, 7.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 1.5 steals, and 1.0 block in 35.5 minutes over two starts.
